Hey, John! Do you have the lengths for the red tees yet?

Just curious, because I'm eager to get the big map printed.

only thing is...Parks dept. nixed 3rd set of tees for now...no posts allowed to mark them...so i'm not sure, but i think it's ok to put them on the map and tee signs, as long as we don't make them permanent... bricks might be ok...we can just keep painting them for now, and maybe move them around a little if they start to get too wore in...at any rate, they plan to make a map, laminate it and mount it at the park soon, so don't knock yourself out making a sign, as they may just end up replacing with their own. I think they would be interested to see the map you have or come up with, as it may help them with their design. let me know

How often do you paint tees for the Whites and Blues? Are there problems with putting the posts to the right (or left) of every actual tee to eliminate the need for paint? Just curious. I forget where the tees are and usually end up playing from the posts anyway, unless there is a dirt spot or something.

Also, scorecard distances are from the painted tees or the posts? Some of the distances seem a little off on the card. I am not complaining. The fact that they are score cards at all is great!

we paint them when we get out there, which winds up being pretty inconsistantly....we tried to design the course so that tee areas can be variable...most are unrestricted and shouldn't play much differently from anywhere in the general vicinity of the tee posts, many of which were located by the parks dept to facilitate mowing...but generally, the intention was to tee from 10 to 20 feet in front of the posts...parks dept has gps info and they will produce a map with distances soon...post to pole...spin true
